Get Involved in Burbank Unified’s LCAP

Arts Education programs in BUSD are supported in BUSD’s Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).

The State of California’s Department of Education provides funding to local school districts through the Local Control Funding Formula and asks each school district to create a Local Control Accountability Plan to use the funds, measured through 8 state-wide goals.

YOU are needed. The state mandates parent engagement as part of the planning and implementation process. YOU can become involved in Burbank Unified’s LCAP by attending meetings or sharing your voice.

BUSD has posted information including Power Point presentations and more on their website. All presentations are translated in Spanish and Armenian. Click this link for more information on BUSD’s LCAP and how you can get involved!

Meetings for the 2018-2019 school year will be held on Wednesdays!

Arts Education goals threaded throughout the LCAP plan, but dedicated goals are listed in Goal #4 and Goal #3.
