An Announcement from the Co-Chairs of the Board of Directors for Burbank Arts for All Foundation:
With both sadness and gratitude, we announce that Trena Pitchford is resigning as the Executive Director of Burbank Arts for All Foundation. Mrs. Pitchford joined the Foundation as our Director of Development in 2011 and, in 2014, she became our Executive Director. During her tenure, Trena has helped usher in new strategic plans in partnership with the Board of Directors, built new valuable partnerships with donors, parent leaders, and businesses, helped improve and stabilize internal operations and organizational processes, among many other accomplishments. Trena leaves Burbank Arts for All Foundation in a strong position for continued growth, and we sincerely thank her for her contribution and leadership in her time here. The Board wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
In sharing the news, Trena noted,
“After eight years with Burbank Arts for All Foundation, I recently submitted my resignation to the Board of Directors in order to spend more time with my family and pursue new challenges. The decision for my transition did not come easily as I am extremely proud of the work that the Foundation’s staff, board, donors, and volunteers have accomplished together during the past eight years. I give my deepest gratitude to all who have been so supportive of the organization and of me personally over the years. I am honored to have been the leader of this incredible organization and will watch with much excitement and anticipation as it continues to support creative learning opportunities for Burbank Unified’s students.”
Trena’s last day with the Foundation will be Friday, October 11th. During this transition period, the Foundation’s Board of Directors prioritizes maintaining a stable and effective organization. We are confident that Trena and staff will make this a smooth transition for the Foundation’s programs, volunteers, and supporters. The Foundation recently hosted its first Community Exchange of the 2019-20 school year and looks forward to completing its 24th grant cycle, investing much needed funding in Burbank Unified’s arts education programs. We look forward to celebrating with all of our key donors and volunteers at our next fundraising event at Gordon Biersch on October 10th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, where we will be recognizing and honoring Trena’s dedication to our organization.
