Burbank Arts for All Foundation Endorses Yes on Measure I
Joined Community at Campaign Opening on Saturday, January 18
Burbank, CA, January 22, 2020 — Burbank Arts for All Foundation Co-Chair, Jill Vander Borght, issued a powerful announcement at YES on Measure I’s campaign opening on Saturday, January 18, declaring Burbank Arts for All Foundation’s endorsement of Yes on Measure I.
“In keeping with our mission to ensure that every student in Burbank public schools receives a quality arts education as part of their core curriculum, we recognize the need to support funding sources that will enable our schools to sustain and continue to invest in and expand arts education. Money raised by Measure I can be used for significant issues that impact quality arts education including the ability to attract and retain quality arts teachers, as well as to maintain and expand arts education in all student’s core curriculum. Therefore, Burbank Arts for All Foundation enthusiastically endorses Measure I,” stated Burbank Arts for All Foundation Co-Chair Jill Vander Borght.
Burbank Arts for All Foundation has worked in partnership with Burbank Unified School District (BUSD) to reinstate and grow arts education in the classroom through its support of BUSD’s Arts for All master plan. The impact of their work has supported thousands of students in their academic, social and emotional growth and they have engaged a unique coalition of major studios, local businesses, media companies, parents, educators, the City of Burbank and the Burbank Unified School District in the importance of creativity and innovation.
