Welcome, Azra Variscic!



Burbank, California – January 31, 2020 – The Burbank Arts for All Foundation is pleased to welcome Azra Variscic as the nonprofit’s new Director of Development.  In this role, she will manage the Foundation’s individual giving, special events, corporate and institutional giving programs. She has more than fifteen years of fundraising, marketing, communications, and development experience, working in social services and nonprofit settings. Variscic will report to the co-chairs of the Foundation and the Board of Directors.

In making the announcement, Jill Vander Borght and Tom Vice, co-chairs of the Foundation, stated, “We are so excited to welcome Azra to the Burbank Arts for All Foundation. Her fundraising experience and her passion for arts education is a perfect fit for our organization and the students we serve.  We look forward to her leadership in expanding our giving, growing our foundation, and strengthening our impact in Burbank’s schools and community.”

Before joining Burbank Arts for All Foundation, Variscic served as Development Manager at Learning Rights Law Center, a Los Angeles-based legal services nonprofit providing educational advocacy and grassroots training for disadvantaged students and their families. In this capacity, she increased the agency’s visibility and fundraising revenues via dynamic marketing, individual and institutional giving campaigns. Prior to this, Variscic served as Associate Director of Development at Lamp Community, where she managed the Agency’s robust annual giving program. In her role as the Community Development Manager for Step Up on Second, she led the Agency’s communications and marketing efforts.

Variscic attended California State University where she studied Communications Design, and The Nonprofit Partnership program at the Long Beach City College, where she obtained a Fundraising Certificate in Fund Development.  She is a member of the Los Angeles Arts Association.
